I am reaching out to you, as a coach of youth shotgun athletes. I have, below provided some information about our program. Please feel free to share the information with your student athletes that might be interested and feel free contact me with any questions.

Thank you for your interest in Lindenwood University and the Shotgun Sports Team! My name is Michael Elam, and I am the Director of Shooting Sports for the Lindenwood Shotgun Sports program.  We look forward to helping you in any way we can as a member of the athletics team. The Lindenwood team has won 15 Division 1 National titles, placed 2nd twice, placed 3rd twice, and did not have the opportunity to shoot in 2020 due to the pandemic. The team is currently recruiting for its 21st consecutive year, however, has had a team compete collegiately as far back as when the school was an all-women’s college.

Lindenwood University is a private college located in Historic St. Charles, Missouri. It is home to one of the largest and most successful co-ed Shotgun Sports teams on the collegiate level. We travel across the United States to compete, but we call Gateway Gun Club home. The team is a funded program, so all ammunition, training, travel, lodging, meals, and transportation on team events are covered. For more detailed information about the Shotgun Sports team, please Click here for information about the Shooting Sports Team.

August A. Busch Memorial Shooting Range (20 min. from Campus) 

Blackhawk Sporting Clays (25 Min. from campus)

Nilo Farms Sporting Clays

Winchester Trap and Skeet Facility

Practice days are typically Tuesdays and Thursdays.
